Buenos Aires, Argentina
Known for being the stage of Argentina’s political protests and demonstrations. Thousands of descamisados gathered in the area either to support or protest the rule of Juan and Evita Peron. This is a prestigious address for those who went ahead to the great beyond like Eva Peron. However, her husband President Juan Peron is not buried here but at the Cementerio de la Chacarita. Ecological Reserve
Along the Costanera near Puerto Madero
Buenos Aires, Argentina
The formation of this reserve is quite ironic as it originated as a dumping ground for the debris of demolished buildings. Plants started to grow, the birds came, the people came for picnics and the rest is history. Don’t be fooled by the name of the place however as the waters in the area is still heavily polluted.
